As @SkyKingIsEpic mentioned, we've hit a roadblock, but new opportunities are already in sight. Jon has helped us identify a new exchange that can help us expand into new markets. However, we must discuss all options available. We have an important decision ahead: the funds initially set aside for the previous exchange project are now available. MEXC Integration Status Update: Our MEXC Integration has been progressing nicely with the Node server up and running to support the exchange process. However, about a week ago the next step of installing epicbox was halted by the MEXC devs and all further communication was answered with what appears to be technically unfounded excuses. We questioned this with the MEXC Integration Manager and her response was as follows: "This was not personal decision. We also put our time and effort in the listing process. But every exchange has different security standard. Hope you understand. Thank you so much for your time and hope Epic is going well with future journey!" So, bottom line: for whatever reason, MEXC has decided to not list Epic Cash. What is ironic, is that it was MEXC that initially approached and courted us, but then during integration they conveniently remembered that they declined Grin... We continue to look for Worthy exchanges, the good news is our amazing dev team has become very experienced at integration. While we do see the need and tremendous value in expanding our exchange offering, our higher priority is focused on what those exchanges provide in terms of real incremental users and broader international market exposure, so we are not running to anyone who is simply willing to play with us and take our money. No contract was signed and no funds were sent, so we are not legally bound to MEXC in any way. While we did have a signed contract with MEXC, their decision to walk away effectively voids that agreement anyway. Donations are being held in a Vite 'Exchange Integration Wallet' and we will be discussing how those funds can be used for a different exchange or returned in a follow-up announcement by El McMurphy. After receiving the 'termination' from their Integration Manager, a deeper dive into MEXC as a business partner was conducted and it appears now that this may have been a blessing in disguise. So we will be extra diligent moving forward to do these 'deeper dives' into a potential future exchange partner before any contract is signed or funds are sent. We are extremely sensitive to protecting Epic Cash from any potential predatory business practices.
